Dental Hygiene Treatments

Oral Hygiene Consultation

A fundamental prerequisite for dental treatments is that the gums are in a healthy and well-maintained condition. Gum inflammation can have harmful effects on both general health and the teeth, so the primary goal of dental hygiene treatments is prevention and oral hygiene education to help prevent these conditions from developing.

Do you experience bleeding gums when brushing, have you noticed wear around the necks of your teeth, or can you still feel plaque on the surfaces of your teeth after brushing? These may all indicate an improper brushing technique. During our oral hygiene consultations, we teach you the proper techniques for tooth and oral care, provide practical guidance to help you master them in the practice, and help you choose the appropriate tools and products.

We also help you learn the proper cleaning techniques for dental restorations supported by implants and provide patients with detailed information about the tools required for this purpose.

Pregnancy Package

Significant changes also take place in the oral cavity during pregnancy. A large percentage of expectant mothers experience pregnancy-related gingivitis. This condition is easy to recognize, as the gums may become red, swollen, and in many cases, bleeding may also occur.
We recommend this package to expectant mothers who:

  • Would like to keep their oral health under control.
  • Would like to clean their teeth safely using the appropriate tools and products.
  • Would like to know when the teething process begins in their child and how to care for their little one's teeth according to their age.

Professional Teeth Cleaning – Ultrasonic Tartar Removal

At our practice, we use ultrasonic tartar removal equipment and, to achieve the best possible result, we finish the treatment with air polishing. Why is this combination important?

Tartar is a compact and hard deposit that forms where the teeth and gums meet and on the surfaces of the teeth. Its removal is necessary because tartar deposits contain many bacteria, which can lead to gum inflammation, more severe periodontal disease, and potentially tooth loss.

In many cases, teeth become discolored as a result of our everyday habits (e.g. coffee consumption, smoking). These stains can be easily removed with air polishing, which also helps reduce tartar deposits while brightening the teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening treatment during which your teeth can become up to 8 shades whiter in just 1 hour.

It is perhaps one of the first widely adopted safe in-office teeth whitening systems, which has also been clinically proven to provide long-lasting whitening without damaging the tooth tissues.

Benefits of teeth whitening:

  • The patient can see the results immediately
  • It leads to greater satisfaction
  • It is performed in the practice under controlled conditions

Professional teeth whitening

Whitening discolored teeth has now become a routine procedure in dental practices. Teeth whitening is a completely safe cosmetic procedure, thanks to increasingly advanced teeth whitening systems developed year after year.

What causes teeth to become discolored?

There can be several causes of tooth discoloration. Yellowish-brown and sometimes blackish shades are most commonly caused by plaque and tartar accumulated on the surface, coloring agents in foods and beverages consumed (coffee, tea, cola, red wine), as well as smoking.

Deeper or intrinsic discoloration of the tooth structure may be caused by various factors occurring during tooth development (medications, such as tetracycline, injuries, trauma) or hereditary factors.

Root canal-treated teeth may also become grayish-brown over time, disrupting the harmony of the color of the dental arch. In the case of surface discoloration, professional teeth cleaning can be the first step, during which plaque and tartar are removed.

How does this teeth whitening system work?

First, we place a special lip retractor, which comfortably keeps the lips away from the teeth during the treatment. We then apply a protective gum “gel” that protects the gums and soft tissues. Next, we apply the whitening gel to the outer surfaces of the teeth, which initiates the whitening process.

How long does the treatment take?

The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes, including preparation. During the treatment, you can relax, listen to music, or watch a film.

What results can be achieved?

The treatment can achieve whitening of up to 8 shades, although in some cases, whitening of 11–13 shades has also been observed!

The system is most effective for yellow or brown discoloration, but all types of discoloration can be treated with it!

Is the system safe?

YES! The procedure is performed under the supervision of a dentist, making it completely safe and causing no harmful changes to the tooth tissues!

How long does the result last?

The longevity of the results largely depends on your lifestyle! During the 2–3 days following the treatment, consumption of any products containing coloring agents (coffee, black tea, red wine, curry) is not recommended, otherwise the effectiveness of the procedure cannot be guaranteed!

With good oral hygiene and by avoiding factors that cause discoloration, teeth whitening can provide beautiful and long-lasting results, with the effects lasting for years.

Whitening of root canal-treated teeth

Root canal-treated teeth can become significantly discolored over time. These teeth need to be whitened both externally and internally. In such cases, we remove the old filling and place a highly effective special whitening agent inside the tooth.

However, in some cases, it may unfortunately no longer be possible to whiten the tooth, in which case we recommend placing an aesthetic crown.
